SERVICES
Consultation
Inner Serenity Therapeutics offers free 15 minute consultations. These consultations are meant to allow both the therapist and client to share information that will determine if treatment is appropriate.
Diagnostic Assessment
A diagnostic assessment is a comprehensive clinical evaluation that begins the process of therapy. A diagnostic assessment includes an evaluation of a client’s mental health, developmental abilities, subsance use, and personal and family history. Once the diagnostic assessment is completed, a recommendation for treatment is determined. If a client chooses to utilize insurance, a diagnostic assessment and diagnosis is required and reported to ensure that the client meets medical necessity.
Individual Session
Individual therapy sessions take place in a confidential, safe and caring environment that allows the therapist and client to collaboratively identify beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may interfere with daily functioning. An individualized plan is created to help clients achieve their goals and create change in their lives.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES USED
Here at Inner Serenity Therapeutics we take a strength-based and empowerment approach with our clients because we believe that each person has inherent positive attributes that contribute to their ability to survive and thrive. A collaborative therapeutic strategy is used to help client identify goals and treatment needs. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy are some of the treatment methods utilized to help client’s overcome challenging feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and experiences. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and treating survivors of trauma.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is an evidenced-based psychotherapy used to treat behavioral patterns, interpersonal conflicts, mood disorders, anxiety, and a variety of other mental health issues. Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. This modality utilizes techniques that include mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based modality that focuses on identifying and modifying maladaptive emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. With this modality, clients learn to recognize harmful thinking that can worsen problems, learn new problem-solving skills, and gain more confidence and understanding of self.
Psychodynamic Therapy is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that focuses on allowing the client to gain more insight into how their beliefs and past experiences influence their current actions. This modality focuses on the client becoming more self-ware of their patterns which brings about change in their day-to-day actions.
