Hi! My name is Aghashiyah and I am the owner of Inner Serenity Therapeutics. I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina where I have also returned to do my life’s work of helping to empower women through the use of therapeutic services. I received a Bachelor’s in Psychology from East Carolina University and a Master of Social Work degree from Widener University.

I have always been passionate about working with women as a way to give back to my community. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working in a crisis environment with domestic violence survivors, families and children with behavioral issues in community mental health, and adults and children in private practice.

I know that making the decision to begin therapy can be a challenging one. That is why I pride myself in creating a safe space to help you make the best decisions for you. I also understand that no two people are the same and as such, I tailor my skills to meet your specific needs. As a warm, compassionate, and caring clinician, I utilize the empowerment and person-centered approach to help you identify emotions and underlying problems and strengths. We will work together to adjust your thoughts and behaviors to help you live a healthier and more fulfilling life.

In my free time I enjoy having fun and engaging in self-care! I enjoy shopping, trying new restaurants, traveling, spending quality time with my family and friends and giving back to my community with my sorority sisters.
